MY NEW TORUS 270 DART BOARD LIGHT

Hey strangers, thought I would do a little blog on my new dart board light I picked up on a sale last week.  I recently invested in a dartboard 3 weeks ago to add to my basement man cave.  Now I am no dart player by means, but man this game is fun even if your horrible.  As a child my dad use to throw darts with his brother every Saturday night.  I would watch and if my memory serves me correctly I threw a dart or 2 myself at the age of 10.  Didn't get into it mind you, but it was the only other time I threw a dart at a board. 

In the picture above was the dart board set I picked up as my first dart board.  This comes with 6 light weight darts, Winmau dart board, Dart board cabniet and a pack of chalk to keep score.  Now buying this I thought it was what I wanted, until I found myself walking through a flea market on a Saturday afternoon and happened to see a booth dedicated to the game of darts.  In the picture I provided below, is my new setup that I found walking through the dart shop that Saturday afternoon.  I fell in love with the surround setup and The Torus 270 light bringing the dartboard to life and attention.  ( Waynes World ) "She will be mine, Oh yes ..... She will be mine" went though my head.  Then on the other side of the coin, My wife is going to kill me also crossed my mind.  How am I going to convince her to spend the money on this new setup?  Well I did was what any man would do.  Just buy it and show her after !  haha. Which I actually did and it worked !  I had my father in law, brother in law, 13 year old son and myself playing the game in the new setup!

Toronto FC game tonight!

Well here I find myself at St.louis wings with my son before the Toronto FC game vs Montreal.  Now I'm a hockey guy but my 13 year old son on the other hand?   Soccer!.  Regardless of the game or the sport I am excited to attend my first professional soccer game.   Are the fans crazy like I see in videos ? I mean am I in danger of nut job soccer fans?  (  no offense to soccer fans )  I'm not actually worried but I will talk you something.  I like the prices of tickets compared to leafs tickets!  Why does it have to that way !? Well that's another blog post to discuss.  For now strangers, wish me luck at my first ever professional soccor game!

Is online poker a scam?

     

     Something that comes up quite often, is online poker a scam?  Now I truley believe, anywhere money is involved it can bring out the bad people.  Far to many storys on people walking all over other people for the all mighty dollar.  Online poker?  Well I don't believe online poker is a scam it self.  I do think time to time there are some that would try to take advantage of a poker site and cheat on it.  But poker sites themselves cheating on the player?  I think that's highly unlikely.

     How many players do you hear and read in the chat box saying " This site is rigged !! " ?  Oh many of times in my days of playing.  Let's just be honest for a second.  Are you sure it's not your bad play and poor decisions?   Now we all have gone on bad runs in poker.  I have many many times myself.  But I absolutely will not blames the site.  Why?  Cause I know how this game works.  Im not a professional poker player but I'm a winning one and I'll tell you this, it's simply just the way the game works.  You have to live with the fact that your AA could be cracked 5 to 6 times when you are multi tableing.  It HAPPENS !.  It sucks but it does.  You have to learn to live with stupid things happening.  I think this is where people either make it or break it.  If it happens so often, quit the session n go do something else or go study some more.   Just dont blame the poker sites for your bad beats.  Something I refuse to do.   

     Any who, this is my small rant for the day on this post.  Something that always makes me shake my head.  This game can seriously be frustrating.  Things dont always go my way in the game but isn't that life too ?  what about the good days?  The winning days? I guess some of us block those days out.  But hey, I like playing the players that go on tilt.  That's where I get my money from !  Until next time, keep on grinding! 

My days of Online Poker

      Let's start off with my name.  Hi I'm Chris and I started playing online poker at the age of 35.  Discovering this game and the money you could potentially make by winning sent me to cloud 9.  I just had to learn this game.  I found out that it was a easy game to learn, however impossible to master.  Regardless I had to get better at this game that everyone talks about.  So I did just that.  I read books, watched videos on Youtube and grinded everyday.  I'll be honest, I was a losing  player for 5 straight years.  I then became a break even player and now, I am a a small time winning player.  Took me quite awhile to get there but I did it.  Don't get me wrong, through my times of losing I did win a few 100 dollar tournaments but I was not a profitable player.  

     One thing is for sure, I started to late with this game.  The players are far better then they ever have been and far more aggressive ( depending what stakes you play ).  The game is still fun never the less but I don't always feel like playing poker.  To ever consider this game as a full time job is out of this world crazy.  The stress, the time, the studying that goes along with making this a full time job is extremely hard and almost impossible for the average human.  It once was a dream but now..... hmmmm...   I think I will just use this game as entertainment / side hustle.  

     I have slowed down in the poker games lately but I still love this game.  Going on a winning streak is highly entertaining and fun at that.  If any of you had the same kind of Poker lay as I did, I would love to hear it.  Do you still play?  how long have you played?  and have you become a profitable player ! ?  any who, till next time keep GRINDING !
